Siding Installation in Francestown, NH
A full siding install, done once and done well, by a crew that treats the details as seriously as the finished look.
How We Approach an Installation
New siding ranks among the smartest investments a homeowner in Francestown, NH can make in their property. Beyond the immediate curb-appeal boost, it shields the framing underneath from wind-driven rain, humidity, and the freeze-thaw cycles that wear down an aging exterior over time. At Harbor Ridge Exteriors, the real work begins before a single panel is hung. We check the condition of the sheathing underneath, look for any soft spots or hidden rot, verify that flashing around every window and door opening is doing its job, and map out the drainage plane so moisture has somewhere to go besides into your walls. This groundwork is where a lot of siding jobs quietly go wrong when it's rushed — so we don't rush it.
With the substrate confirmed solid, we lay down a weather-resistant house wrap and get trim, corner posts, and starter strips squared away before the first course ever goes on. Every run is leveled and fastened to the manufacturer's exact nailing pattern, a detail that matters more than it sounds. Nail siding too tight and it buckles the first time the temperature swings; nail it too loose and it rattles in the wind and eventually works itself free. We fasten it to move the way it's designed to move, which is a big part of why our installs stay flat and tight season after season.
Depending on the home, the budget, and the look you're after, we work across vinyl, fiber cement, wood, engineered wood, and metal siding. Each of these materials comes with its own rules for spacing, fastening, and flashing, and our crews are trained specifically on what each one demands. We also sweat the details that quietly separate a good job from a great one — house wrap lapped correctly, penetrations around pipes and vents properly sealed, corners mitered cleanly, and reveal lines that stay consistent all the way around the house.
We keep the job site tidy throughout the project and stay in touch about the schedule, since weather can nudge timelines around. Once the work is done, we walk the exterior with you, point out what was done and why, and answer any questions about upkeep going forward. Harbor Ridge Exteriors has been installing siding across Francestown, NH for 15 years, and we've built our name on installations that still look sharp long after we've packed up the trucks.
